Join the Chicago Catholic Choir for our Spring concert entitled “Show Thyself a Mother.”

During the month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, we reflect on inconceivable mystery of God taking flesh by means of a human mother and the tremendous way in which he prepared Mary, the Woman foretold in Genesis, to be both His mother and ours. The title of our concert comes from the fourth verse of the ancient Marian hymn, the Ave Maris Stella, "Hail Star of the Sea". The sea being a symbol of this tempestuous and changing world, God chose to give us His own mother to guide us to our destination.

The concert will include works by St. Hildegard, Monteverdi, Fux, Dufay, Victoria, Lassus, and our director Kevin Allen.
